Red Apples are a great choice when making this beautiful mash, created by my friends over at SuperHealthyKids.com. Don't forget to purchase organic apples, as they contain the most pesticides of all fruit. Enjoy this dish with your sweetie!
Suitable for toddlers 24 months and up.
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon agave nectar
- 1 apple, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
In saucepan, combine oats with milk, water, agave, chopped apples and cinnamon. Heat until oats begins to boil. Reduce heat to low, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes while continuing to stir.
- Health bonus!! Leave the apple skin on! There is fiber and vital nutrients on the skin and just below the skins surface. Peeling it takes away some of these great benefits. For this oatmeal, wash the apple thoroughly and then chop it with the skin.

Thanks for sharing this recipe. It looks really good and I'm excited to give it a try this weekend with my great grandchildren. ;-)
